Re: How did you get introduced to your favorite shows?

Well, with TMNT (the new Nickelodeon show), it was a strange process. I'd watched the 80's cartoon as a kid, but it never was a fannish interest for me. I was ambivalent at first to the Nick toon and after watching the pilot, I wasn't all that enthused. I recall thinking it was a poor man's Teen Titans (unaware that one of the showrunners actually worked on TT) and that was about it at the time. I was more interested in Green Lantern: TAS, too.

Then GLTAS went on forced hiatus a week or two later, and I was left with not much else to watch on Saturday mornings. After seeing some people post stuff on Tumblr in regards to TMNT 2k12, I finally decided to give the show a second chance, and I spent the remainder of the weekend getting caught up on all the episodes that had aired up until that point. Suffice to say, the Turtles got me, hook, line, and sinker.

It ain't a perfect show by any means, but it makes me laugh and I find it to be generally entertaining overall.
