You're making too much sense.

But I guess some folks gotta whine about people having a fun time with a rpg game and writing about it.

I love my HoK/Nerevarine/Shepard/Revan/Dovakhiin/Exile/Warden/Hawke and anyone who doesn't like me writing about them can go step on a field of legos and chew some of them, too.

I genuinely love reading about people's HoKs/Nerevarines etc. I just find it so interesting, the reasons why people developed them a specific way, why they chose a particular race, the backstories they dream up for why their Dovahkiin was on the executiuon cart or the HoK in prison or the Nerevarine deported or whatever. I just love it. I adore the joy and care people take in their character creations. How could you not find that interesting? idk, maybe people interest me too much

They are interesting. Which is one of the many many many reasons TES is my favorite. And it's fun to rpg with other people's TES characters, to see how they view lore, or how they react to game events or what factions they favor and why.

There are so many paths to take, so many stories, so many possibilities, and so many variations of head!canon of what happen afterwards. And the care and love fellow fans take in creating their characters is awesome.

I think people who look down at this are losing out on something. Or just don't understand the kind of fun it is.

I agree so much. I don't read that much fic but I love seeing art of people's protagonists and the backstories they give them. It's kind of the same interest I have in original fiction mixed with the familiarity of a shared game experience. It's pretty great, even if it's hit or miss.

Seeing the art, or even screenshots of their characters are so much fun. and their backstories, yes.
