OP's celebrity obsession is just much more authentic, you know? OP is still all about the true spirit of celebrity-friendship-fantasizing... Basically OP is a celebrity friendship backpacker.

I know of no celebrity friends...and I don't see why they'd be rich, either.

In any case, I sort of get what OP is saying. A lot of people just like daydreaming about the celebrity life without particular care for the celebrity themselves. But I don't think it's exactly noble, either way.

That's not at all what I got from this post. I think this post was just saying they have an unpopular opinion that makes them feel weird, even though they feel they're justified.

And I happen to really like the OP's logic.

Saying that their fiends "just want to date some random celebrity" sounds like they're being pretty smugly superior. "I don't just want to date some random celebrity, I want to be best friends with my favourite celebrity!" That's not weird, that's condescending.

I didn't really get this out of the secret either. But I can kinda see why others did. It's a bit ambiguous.

Unless your friends are all actual groupies, I doubt their one ambition in life is to outright fuck their fave celeb.
