You know, I could accept that Rumpelstiltskin could be the stand-in for the Beast, provided that his Beauty was more believable.

But basically every episode but the episode they were reunited in has done nothing to convince me of it.

Also I'd like to know why Rumpelstiltskin is always spelled as Rumplestiltskin in the show. It's different everyone else.

I feel like the writers just put themselves into a corner with that, they thought "Hey wouldn't it be cool if Rumple were the beast!" But then there's the fact that they still want him to be evil and then somehow have me buy that Belle is fine with all this.

The whole thing makes Belle come off as one of those sad women that fall in love with serial killers.
