Okay, I can think of the only time this every makes sense as being a viable opinion. If it's a section of the fandom that is circle-jerking about how long it took them to defeat a specific boss, or how quickly they can beat a game, or actual active gameplay. If it's that, then yeah, people who watch LPs can't really have a comment about it.

But if it's the bigger part of the fandom where people draw art, and write fics, about the actual characters in the game and the plot it has... then well... people who watch LPs can be as active as they want in it. To them it's like watching a movie, and they are following it for the actual plot and the different characters that were put into the game by its creators.

It's the difference between a racing game and a rpg. Now please excuse me as I work on my "Need for Speed" fic.
