Re: Things You Have Trouble Accepting As Canon

This has always bugged me. Starting with Harry being raised by muggles and Hermione being muggle-born and right up through the reveal of Snape's parentage, there is just too much canonical interaction between the wizarding and muggle worlds for the former to be completely clueless about the latter. Some wizards might be able to be isolationists and others might be the wizarding equivalent of "backwoods hicks" or whatever, but most don't have this excuse. Then you start to think about things like "Where do the Weasleys get their groceries and toilet paper and whatnot? Do they go to Tesco's or is there some kind of Wizards' Walmart? Do they conjure it all out of thin air even though that would negate the need for a wizarding world economy, which clearly exists?
