Re: Things You Have Trouble Accepting As Canon

What freaks me out is Hogwarts only concentrates on the magic, rather than also teaching english etc. So...everyone in the wizarding world has the writing abilities of a ten year old? That's a little worrying...

The patronising attitude towards muggles too. It's like, oh silly muggles are so weak and helpless- we have a spell that can kill a man. That's nice. We have nukes. Hogwarts may be unmapable but Scotland certainly isn't. We can do the whole trial and error thing.

(Like seriously the most dangerous creatures in the wizarding world were Dementors because muggles can't see them. Wizards? Who rely solely on a fragile little stick? Get a sniper on that. Problem solved.)

Ahahahahahhahahaa. I have often thought this myself. They get no writing instruction. IT boggles the mind.

I also like stories that highlight how dangerous reliance on a wand can be. If you lose your wand or break your wand or somebody just decks you or shoots you as you suggest, you're toast. LOL

The lack of English classes is NUTS! And while the practical sides to science are taken care of by magic, they don't get any education in the actual workings of the universe which is not only interesting but really beneficial. And they never even use their amazing magic to achieve great things, like interstellar travel, curing diseases, or pushing forward other frontiers.

While Hogwarts would be fun, I gotta say, the magical world is seriously fucked up. I think Muggles are superior.
