I stopped caring about him in the movies the minute they totally screwed the reunion between him and Sirius in the shack in PoA anyway. That whole scene in the book was the reason I cared about any of the Marauders at all. The movie didn't come anywhere close. But then, movie-wise, they screwed all of the stories. I couldn't care about any of them in the movies.

The same goes for her. She was just there to have cute hair in the movies. Blah.

Yes. This. Completely. I loved the Tonks we saw in OotP, & I was so sad that we never got to see one bit of that cool person again.

JKR has stated outright that Tonks & Remus died because she changed her mind about killing Arthur in OotP. Until she negates it, I will forever believe she never intended that ship to happen until she made that decision. Then it was let's have them get married & pop out a kid so their deaths are that much more tragic.

OP, are you me? I've never been able to get on board this ship, even accounting for Harry's limited narration. The terrible fanfiction does nothing for me as well.

No. It's just Chardmonster's weird habit of sarcastically fake-complaining in all caps on ANY secret that has anything to do with gender or body image, even if the secret is positive and not butthurt/wanky.

I'm not even sure what she's making fun of here. The OP wasn't criticizing the show or the person in it. It sounds like the show makes them feel better about their body, in fact.

...Mekkio sort of did. Their point (I presume) was that even without accounts anons would still be making huge assumptions about each other. Anon was making a big assumption about mekkio--they they were being insulting and dismissive, even though they weren't. They simply attacked the other side with great prejudice.

Anon-only wouldn't solve that.

Man, I was wondering if I was the only person who thought this. Yes it seems like all princesses are alicorns but we don't know if that was how Faust originally designed it. It seems far more plausible to me that Hasbro took Faust's original idea about succession and turned it into a toy opportunity.

My headcanon has always been that alicorns are born, not made. It's genetic. In lieu of actual daughters, Celestia could have groomed Twilight for the job regardless of "type" (what's the official term for that? is it just "type"?) - of course there's Cadance but she wasn't originally an alicorn either, huh?

Look up Natalia Tena's reaction to the hair they gave her in HBP. Hilarious. Actually, her comments about that movie in general are pretty funny & spot on.

I always loved Lilly and Scotty's friendship in Cold Case, though I'll be honest I did ship it a bit but as far as canon went I never wanted them to be anything more than BFF's.

I don't even have anything substantial to say other than 'omg I can't believe this is a secret about Ring of the Nibelung???' I haven't ... watched anything, I just read it mostly (too lazy to watch), but I ... I just really love this opera and I'm very excited to see a secret about it okay. Actually, I love-hate it. It made me cringe so many times. But I swoon over it all the time too, so.

My problem with the alicorn thing was less that it happened and more that it was very badly written.

Of course I would have preferred the princess (or princess successor) thing to have been done with Twilight still a unicorn, but w/e. They want new toys. It was inevitable. I still have my happy headcanon. <3

That's pretty much what I think of Sherlock, but at the same time I kind of love it and I apparently spent the last two months writing Sherlock/Lestrade fic, which I will probably never post because there's already enough Sherlock fic in the world.

I've started watching Luther, which is not at all like Sherlock in tone, but reminds me of it because it requires its strong cast to deliver some pretty dumb lines.

Maybe you are some superhuman, but no, I can't.

I can control jumping someone and fucking them senseless, but I can't control whether I have chemistry with them or not.

Me too. Well, to be honest I can't say I shipped it OMG THAT HARD, but I used read lots of fic. Now that I'm a bit older, the age gap bothers me a lot more than it did then.
