I have a TON of ships like that. Plenty of them for shows I don't even watch.

I've realized it's honestly helpful to the overall longevity of my interest in a pairing. When I watch something and I adore a character and also this other character and I adore them as a couple even more, I get way more picky about the fic, and I am much more likely to be pissed off by fandom antics, both from fellow fans and haters. The less I care about the ship, the more stuff I can shrug off.

Not being overly invested! It's a good thing! (For some of us, anyway.)

Dave and Rose are also awesome! I mentioned Dirk and Roxy upwards in the thread. Seriously, HS is full of male/female friendships, but the Strilondes have the best interactions and feel <333

I'd also recommend the Vorkosigan books, and note that while it's a long series, they tend to stand alone or come in sets. The omnibuses actually break them up pretty well, except that they don't include Memory, which is a pretty important part of the series. But the OP could easily start with either the first or second of the omnibus editions. (The first omnibus being about Cordelia, the second being about Miles.)

Does anybody have any good fic recs? I suddenly need this pairing in my life.

The wand was originally Charlie's.

(Of course there is a chance that the wand was handed down to Charlie from someone else who then handed it down to Ron when he got a wand made specifically for him)

And Harry didn't break things when picking out his wand (unless that is some shit the movies added in, no idea) unless you mean in the seventh book when he was using a wand that he did not conquer properly. A wand can choose a new master. I suppose we can assume that by being passed down like with the Weasleys, the wand will recognize the intent of the person passing down the wand and take the new kid for a master (though i think on pottermore there was some stuff about the different qualities of certain wand woods, so it might depend on the kind of wand a lot too)

Honestly, I think what it really comes down to is Rowling not having completely taught out wand lore yet when she wrote the first books so not everything fits exactly.

That's where I got them, back when they were still up! Lois asked for them to be removed because she was releasing the e-books herself. They are not difficult to find, though.

THIS. I swear I was just thinking about this the other day; one of the worst things, in retrospect, was that now whenever I remember *anything* about the series, I also remember that the finale happened.

Speaking as a girl who's lost her father, who'll never see him hold her children or walk her down the aisle, the fact that the writers clearly thought the scene at the end magically made everything happy and okay enraged me literally to the point of nausea.

To be Loki Angie would have to shave her eyebrows. Anyone else want to see that?
