His hosting job for the Oscars, *was* hilarious. That is all. SN: He's the creator of "Family Guy" for sobbing out loud. Everyone who tuned in to watch, knew *exactly* what kind of humor they were in for.

Exactly why I didn't watch. He's not funny, and a misogynist.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-02 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
.... there are still people who think family guy is funny?!

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
It's still running, yeah?

Maybe I just really like the film industry and want to see companies my friends work at winning awards?

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
That may be why you tuned in but if you knew he was hosting and what he writes, you had to have known what type of things he would do.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
No, you didn't HAVE to know who the hell he was and what he would do. Plenty of people watched the Oscars just because they WATCH THE OSCARS, regardless of the host. Some of them had never heard his name before. Some of them had never heard of Family Guy.

Just because you know who Seth is and what he's famous for doesn't mean the guy sitting next to you on the bus does. But that guy has probably heard of the Oscars. And he's probably seen a few movies in the past year, too.

Your experiences are vastly different from most of the people in the world. Maybe you need to step outside your personal circle of friends and family a bit if you haven't realized that yet.

sa

Anon, sorry! I misread part of your comment completely....

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
Now you know, and everything's going to be okay.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
So...what? It doesn't really make it any better. It doesn't make him not a creep.

Hell, maybe I thought he'd reign it in a bit for one night. Not really thought or expected, but sort of hoped. Not much different than how Billy Crystal never filled the stage with four-letter words.

They picked him. And that says a lot of really unpleasant stuff right there.

Oh, I knew. And I skipped over a lot of his parts as a result.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
I actually didn't know who the host was until about 5 minutes before showtime, lol.

I don't know if I would say that anyone who turned should have expected the humor they got, but the Oscar organizers should have known.

(Anonymous) 2013-03-03 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
They did know. It's what they wanted.
