Re the equipment: Ask someone who works there to show you how to use everything and point you in the right direction based on your needs and background. Planet Fitness is REALLY good about that stuff, at least here in Texas.

They are good in new york to. I think it's part of the franchise manifesto.

And I used to shower that way all the time. I'm a guy, but I don't think it should be that different. You would be mostly alone doing this anyway if your doing it early.
