Helga. I know some people hate her for her terrible behavior, but I think it really adds depth to her character. She's nasty to everyone, even the person she loves, because she's afraid of being rejected. Her homelife is awful, and so she pushes people away as not to get hurt. Sort of the 'jerk with a heart of gold', but not as cliché.

Oh, this! I love Helga for all the reasons you mentioned anon. She's so nuanced and flawed, but tries to be good (and fails most of the time). Arnold/Helga is still one of my OTPs years later.

Same! I still want the Jungle Movie to be made to an unhealthy degree, lol.

Well, technically they do get together! Craig Bartlett said they even get married eventually and have kids<3

Nick has been talking with him in a general sort of way for the past few months. It might not go anywhere, or it might not end in something HA related, but it's a little sliver of hope at least. :)

True. That makes me happy, but I still wish their get-together was shown on screen (I had to retype that sentence a bunch of times, because it kept sounding dirty, haha).

I know, I wanted to see Arnold kiss Helga of his own volition. It would have been so great!

"Helga on the Couch" is my favorite HA episode.

I love that one, too! It really drives home the fact that Helga's home life is not a happy one, and why Arnold is so important to her. It makes it even more sad when you keep in mind Helga was not a planned pregnancy, unlike Olga (Creator mentioned this in an interview)
