Guy Gardner, the Asshole Lantern. He's pretty much a huge jerk, his characterization in the 80s was borderline psychopathic, and I fucking love him for all of it. Eventually his characterization solidified into "big jerk but ultimately a good person who does care about the people he works with."

He stands out quite well against Hal Jordan the White Wonder, who's only interesting when he's evil or dead.

Seconding all of this, especially the part about Hal Jordan. I don't think there has ever been a more boring character who had so many rabid fanboys.

YES. I fucking love Guy Gardner with every fiber of my being, in every spectrum of jerkitude.

Guy's basically the only character I can't understand why anyone would dislike. He's hilarious and lovable and it's awesome.

Also, have you seen the Green Lantern cartoon? ymmv of course, but Hal is actually not boring in that version imo. It's weird.
