Oh, there's nothing wrong with showering and putting on make-up, etc. after you are done. I used to do it when I have a membership to 24-Hour Fitness. Like, washing my hair and everything I'd normally do in the shower/bathroom before work. At lot of women go to the gym before work and dress there.

And, yeah. Someone who works there should be able to show you how to work everything and recommend things.
