Why would rabbits be considered inherently sinister?

I mean, I have a pet rabbit and I love her to death. She is snuggly, bossy, and completely ridiculous. Kind of like every other pet you could have.

This secret makes me sad :(

Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes - they got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses. And what's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?

My bunny prefers celery, she is indifferent to carrots ;)

Also, her eyesight is TERRIBLE. I mean, their eyes are on the sides of their heads, so it's pretty tough for them to actively attack anything, it it seems that she can only tell I'm me because of a vague shape. If I walk up to her wearing a winter jacket she freaks the fuck out... and if I'm sneaky, just a touch on the nose will make her jump because she never sees my finger coming. (It's kind of mean to do. Buuuut I still do it because it's also hilarious.)

Bunnies! Bunnies, it must be bunnies!

Or maybe midgets

That 'maybe midgets' bit is my favourite part of Anya's part of the song. Almost my favourite part of the song, but Xander trying to dig himself out of the 'some evil witches' hole trumped it.

That song is made of pure awesome. Xander's bit is great, as is Giles "A dancing demon...? No, something isn't right here".

My favourite part is the very end where they've all had their heartfelt declaration that there's nothing they can't face together and Anya goes "except for bunnies~!".

OT-squared

1. Never watched Buffy, but someone did a Once spoof of this song, so now I'm laughing too.

2. And now I'm having a very old ER flashback.
"And there are creatures, scurrying about in the walls. Do you know what scurries about in walls, Mark?"
"Bunnies?"

Maybe they met one of my rabbits ;) I always seem to get aggressive unwanted bastards who will rip into you and growl. I love them anyway haha. It just takes a few years before they're calm enough to sit in the room and come over for a pat.

My current girl is probably the least aggressive of the lot I've had. Well, it took 19 tries to find another bunny she likes (he's pretty laid back good) but she's still very grunt and demanding, but she mostly just nips everyone now instead of full on biting.

To be fair, I got my pretty bun from another owner who'd already had her spayed. It seems that it made a huge difference to her aggression - before she operation she was so wild you couldn't even touch her or pick her up, but after her previous owner had her spayed she became the lovely creature she is now.

She's still able to keep my two cats in line, knocking them on the nose when they approach her with an inappropriate amount of confidence, but overall she doesn't bite the way some bunnies do. So maybe I lucked out ^_^
