Re: Soul-bonding fic ideas

-After a certain age, you start feeling any pain or sickness your soulmate does until you find them (you share a soul, you're already bound to someone from birth, etc). Cue trying to find them before either of you gets killed because death for one means death for the other.

-Along those some lines, two enemies get bound to each other and decide that the easiest way to hurt/manipulate each other is to hurt themselves. Hijinks ensue.

-The bond seems to be a positive thing at first, with the usual increased intimacy, knowing what they're feeling/thinking/state of health, etc., but you can only spend so much time like that before you both start suffering various negative effects, like weakness, fatigue, sharing thoughts/emotions so much you're basically becoming the same person, etc. It starts killing you slowly because that sort of connection is too intense.

-Once you're bound to someone, you both end up marked in some way to show it, which would make it ridiculously easy for someone to kidnap one half in order to harm the other from a distance. The connection can be broken, but you wouldn't ever be able to form that connection with them again.
