LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY FAIL-DADS CLUB.

Laguna from Final Fantasy VIII, Kotetsu from Tiger & Bunny, and Phoenix Wright as of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. They're all sort of terrible parents, AND incredibly dorky losers, and although I frequently am wavering on the edge of embarrassment squick when they're getting screen time, I just love it. It's like, they try so hard and just fail even harder that it's far more endearing than if it actually worked out for them.
