Even though Jurassic Bark still makes me really sad, a part of me kind of hated the retcon. I don't know, yeah it's nice Seymour didn't have to wait for Fry to come back and die alone but it also cheapened the emotional impact of Jurassic Bark for me. I guess I must be in a minority sort of wondering if it had been better leaving things how they were because apparently the retcon was a reaction to fans chewing the writers out over how much Seymour's arc upset them. At least, I vaguely I remember reading that explanation once.

Anyway OP, it's fine if you think one was more moving than the other.
