Oooh, you make it sound fantastic. (From this comment it sounds better than Hunger Games. Hunger Games was good but felt a bit lacking in areas. Sounds like Catching Fire makes up for some of that with more characters and a larger view of the world.)

If the rest of the book is great, I think the ending falling short is more acceptable. Especially since it's the middle book in a series, you know? But I haven't read it yet so it might be a truly terrible cliffhanger, haha.

I hate love triangles, hateeeeeee. Though the 'dark and sadistic' thing...it really depends on the execution for me, but considering the premise of the series I can see how they might take it too far.

Now I want to read it... Wasn't sure what to expect, but the upcoming movie excites me!
