... From the standpoint of a believer, is writing Bible (or any religious/mythological) fanfiction sort of a bizarre form of RPF? Where you have to keep the dual perspective of 'fictional representation' vs 'actual person' in mind?

I mean, I tend to apologise to any and all gods/deities/spirits I'm using, on the grounds that it would be rude to do otherwise if any of them turned out to be real and/or listening in. But it's very low key, since I'm basically just a low-level agnostic who doesn't like to be rude. I'm not sure what it would be like for a more fervent believer.

I feel a strange urge to get into Lucifer vs Satan vs the Devil in the variety of traditions, including the later mythologies and folklore. But, ah. Suffice to say, the figure of Lucifer isn't really derived from the Bible at all (the name is mentioned once, and only in the King James version), so if that's your pair of choice, you might be able to feel slightly less guilty?

Dude, are you kidding? As an atheist, the last thing i care about, judgement-wise, is Bible porn. Bring it on! I have read some *awesome* Jesus/Lucifer and some even more awesome Jesus/Judas. In fact, I wish i could find the one fic, as it's pretty old and it was amazing and it's just....gone.


Don't worry about other people judging you for it- it exits, it's out there, dive right in and post!
