You must be hanging out on some very odd part of fandom, as the ones you can't find anything for are...some of the biggest pairings out there. I see WAY more Cyclonus/Tailgate than I do Chromedome/Rewind! (Although Roddy tends to get shipped with Magnus. Generally, fandom doesn't like Drift much, but it's still a ship that's totally out there.)

See, this is the hilarious thing about TF fandom. It's got these niches and each has its own feel and personality. Parts of fandom I hang out in love Drift.

But they still don't write Rodimus/Drift. Which, unlike the OP, I am thankful for (there's some fragged up power dynamic between those two, imo). But to each their own ship and I do my best not to harsh on anyone's.

SUCH a fucked up power dynamic. (Although that ship will go to hell, too, once Rodimus realizes that Drift decapitated Red Alert. Which is admittedly speculation, but come on, it seems pretty likely.)

(Roberts does seem to be on a mission to single-handedly make us start to love characters and then hate them. Chromedome, Drift, Ratchet, Rodimus was ok for a few issues...then six happened and my loathing for him recapitulated a thousand times over)

His complete dickishness towards Drift, mostly. Yeah, Drift definitely has a screw lose with his theories, but that doesn't give Ratchet any right to tear Drift apart regarding his faith the way he does. The annual had me grinding my teeth. Drift had just discovered the people that he regards above all else were GONE, likely violently.

I don't hate him, yet, but there's a definite dislike growing. Counteracted pretty strongly by the "ok, I will give myself a horrible disease if it saves a patient" in issue 4.

Yeah, okay, that makes sense. Although for me it was also counteracted by Drift freaking out about the DJD and wanting Ratchet to kill him before the DJD got there and Ratchet flat-out refusing. And by the clearly friendly bickering during Shadowplay.

Trolling sparkle!Drift was certainly one of the one-off high points of the series. I snorted root beer all over the table by accident when I read it. XD

I did not destroy my copy of the comic at that point only because by the third issue I'd learned not to read it with anything in my mouth. Roberts has excellent comedic timing.

I didn't notice the fingermarks until second read. I still wonder if it was from Roberts or one of the artists.

And, yes. Troll!Drift was amazing. I have it as an LJ icon because of its awesomeness.
