Me too. I want a new showrunner and a new doctor already (I really like Matt Smith, but I'm so done with Moffat's story arcs that he's tainted for me).

I've had to tumblr savior Doctor Who because it's got to a point where every time it comes up on my dash it's like a little bit of my DW love crumbles away.

I sometimes think Matt Smith is one of the few things that puts anything good into the storylines nowadays :\ The plots are just so meaningless and afraid of personality that it seems like the only character depth or nuance to be found comes from his facial expressions and body language. He deserved better, IMO. Eleven is always so much better in Moffat-less standalones.

This. I really want him to stay on for at least a season after Moffat leaves.

That would be great, although knowing Moffat, he'll totally want to stay on and have the final word on ~his~ Doctor. It kind of depresses me a bit that in the future, Eleven will mostly be remembered for the River Song debacle.

I actually wish all the recent Doctors had gotten more time, because they all had so much potential. Seriously, the last few Doctors = some of the most fascinating character conceptions I've ever seen in science fiction.

I wish the great writing that happened in season 25-26 had come early enough to actually do a actual good job with Six so he wouldn't have that totally undeserved poor reputation, and play around more with Seven and his incredible amount of perfection. I wish Eight had a second (maybe even a third?) movie that was actually good (the audios are great, but I wanted more than just audios). I wish Nine gotten more than just thirteen episodes, even though his character arc was perfect (sometimes I hate British brevity). And I really, really wish Ten had gotten a full fourth season instead of the specials to get satisfying character development and a happy ending and to be awesome with Donna because Donna is the best and she and Ten are platonic soulmates and no one will convince me otherwise.

Yeah, I do feel the same way. And I did love Amy and Rory and River at the start of Moffat's run, too, but I just hate what he's done with all of them. And some of my all-time favourites have been during Moffat's run (Vincent and the Doctor may be the favourite for me), so I'll try to keep that in mind and go in not expecting anything from the story arc. And just hope for some great individual episodes.
