There are many different ways to do the weather, including have it display a little picture of the weather conditions along with the temp and description. I use GeekTool to run the scripts and there are scripts posted here that tell you how to do it. It can be a little overwhelming if you've never worked with them before, but worth the effort. You're welcome to always ask me if you want some basic help. I'm far from an expert user, though.
