Probably just a twinged nerve. Definitely take it easy for a while (so, no more renovating), and if it's still giving you trouble with no sign of improvement after a week or two, you might want to see if there's a doctor that will be flexible with you or if there's any sort of assistance program you qualify for and get it looked at.

Check out Ulnar Nerve Entrapment, and see if that sounds similar (http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00069). It's not a big scary thing, and there are some examples of things you can do to help aside from the doctor.
