What IS the reason for it?
But yes, up to a certain point, once you've seen one interview, you've seen them all. But then, I tend to be pretty apathetic towards "behind the scenes" of movies in general, so I almost never watch them anyway.

And then they pair actors based on characters. Hence Ruffalo + Downey because their characters are buddies. Johansson and Renner because they are sort of the small, non extraordinary Avengers. And the Chris's because they are leftover. That is why Hiddleston was generally by himself or paired with a random person. Or Quinto and Pine because their characters are frenemies.
