Guhhhh. GUUUHHHHHH.

I decided to make myself a new top for Easter. Kimono style, with toned-down simplified obi, and I'd found this purple fabric with a not-too-cutesy rabbit print to make it with. I also decided to make homemade chocolate bunnies for the big family Easter dinner on the other side of the state - dark chocolate with dried cranberries, and white chocolate with pecans.

But my health's been acting up for the last month, and this week particularly sucked to the point I couldn't sit up to sew and was too nauseated to deal with food. So basically YESTERDAY I bashed out the top, in between rounds of MAKING MY OWN CANDY MOLDS and melting chocolate to pour into them and then waiting 45 minutes for them to cool and then discovering we had no pecans and sending my girlfriend to the store to get some and her coming back with walnuts instead because "They only had pecans chopped into little pieces" - which is EXACTLY WHAT I SAID I WANTED.

So uh. Yesterday was so stressful I couldn't sleep much last night, and my health suffered, and I drove across the state to deliver the bunnies I'd rushed out, then sat in the car hyperventilating and in pain for about an hour before I gave up and drove back home. ;_;

But the church service this morning was beautiful and exciting, everyone apparently loved my homemade chocolate bunnies (first they were saying they were too cute to eat, then apparently they were too delicious NOT to), the weather was gorgeous for the drive, and although it was raining a little as I got home, the sun came out again while it was still raining - meaning I had to check for a rainbow, and yep, there was a rainbow off to the east. Very nice.
