We all have this show, or fandom which we love but no one else we know watches it. Share it here, who knows? Maybe you'll convert someone :)
For me, it's Whitechapel and My Mad, Fat Diary. Whitechapel is just my favourite detective show ever, it's dark and scary and the characters are just the best together, and I really like the way they don't forget about the victims, especially the victims who are sex workers, like in the Ripper arc. Also, it's all based on historical crimes and the stories are just fab. I honestly prefer it to Sherlock (Blasphemous as it is).
My Mad Fat Diary has been mentioned here a few times already but the characters feel so real and I spend half the episode just wanting to hug them and never let them go. Also, I love love love the way it deals with mental illness and Rae's therapist is just fantastic.
So yeah. Watch them.

Two of my friends are trying to get me to watch Whitechapel, so I will probably watch it soon Anon!

For me, well Shameless US I guess? I really do need someone to talk about that show with!

Ohmigod, please do. You won't regret it, even after the nightmares, lol. I've never seen either, but is there much difference between the UK and US Shameless? And which would you say is better?

The first couple of episodes are pretty much the same in both shows. I prefer the American version over the original.

I still haven't caught up with the Original, because somehow I though I had finished it. Then I realized that it was like 5 seasons I hadn't watched, which I figured out by spoiling myself for not one important thing, but like 10...

Oooh, I love Shameless! I've managed to get one other person into it, and he's really liking it so far (at least I know he liked S1...I'm pretty sure he's seen S2 by now but I haven't talked to him lately).

What do you think of the current season?

Oh man, I just marathoned all of Shameless US over the past week and I really want to get my friends to watch it but I don't think any of them will like it :(

Right now, my partner and I ware watching Person of Interest, and I'm considering making a secret about it just because it's so awesome and I want more secrets about it ;_; It's like if Batman and Bruce Wayne were two different people, without the whole IMMA BAT thing, and shoved into a police procedural. It starts out with Bad Guy of the Week, but it quickly gets into the overarching plot(s), and everything is very closely tied together. Not to mention: badass female characters, great character interactions, and no random out-of-the-blue romance derailing the storyline!

I looooove PoI but there's not much fandom for it and I can't think of anything it would need a secret for lmao

I LOVE PERSON OF INTEREST SO MUCH I JUST KEEP MAKING STUPID POST ABOUT HOW AWESOME IT IS ON TUMBLR. I've reached the point where I think EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD could potentially have a Person of Interest AU fusion written for it. I think people are getting sick of it but I just don't care.

I'm just really afraid of how the finale is going to go. Like, I'm okay with people dying, but it's going to break me if Harold and John's relationship is somehow ~irrevocably damaged or even not so much irrevocably but if we have to spend a significant part of S3 working back to the relationship they have now I'm going to be really upset. ~~And still keep watching because I love it so muuuuuch.~~

Did you ever see Ripper Street, OP? Among other things it has detectives saving sex workers, and also happens to be my answer to your question, so your post made me think of it.

I might check out Whitechapel if I can, though I don't really know about My Mad Fat Diary.

I watched a few episodes of it and I might try to do the whole series once exam seasons over.
I really would recomend both, although I love Whitechapel just that bit more.

I *love* it, but none of my friends wants to watch it :(

I've seen the first season of Whitechapel and really enjoyed it. But when I watched it, I was with my sister and using her Amazon Prime account. Haven't looked it up on my own yet. I didn't realize it was still in production as of 2012, though.

Bomb Girls. god damn why isn't everyone watching this beauty of a show.

I like Whitechapel quite a lot! Is the new season here yet? Did I miss something?

As for what I'd like people to watch: Justified. Just Timothy Olyphant being a sarcastic, snarky badass in a cowboy hat.

Also maybe Luther or Southland. Those are both amazing shows.

Southland. If I weren't dead tired I'd wax poetic about how great and realistic it is, but as it is someone else will have to do it for me. But seriously, the show is great! Best cop show currently on air, if you ask me.

Vikings. I want to literally force people to watch this show. The tiny fandom makes me so sad because it's been a very long time since I had so many things I wanted to talk about in a TV show :(

Kings. I need more people to share in my pain that we'll never get a real ending.

I want to make my friends watch Last Exile, because I want someone in fandom to talk to dammit.

I also want to try and get my dad to watch A:tlA, and Red vs Blue because while I think initially both would be kinda weird and stupid to him if he;d watch the whole way through he'd really like them... I miss watching stuff with my dad.

Oh, yeah, Red vs Blue is one for me too, though I tend to stick to more family friendly shows with my parents. Good luck with getting your dad to watch it. :)

Seriously. Watch it.

I want to make my friends watch Batman The Brave And The Bold, mostly because none of them read western comics and also I want to watch them as their brains explode.

I already made them watch Aquaman's 'Rousing Song of Heroism' >:}

Oh, and Sandra Lee's semi homemade cooking show. I love torturing my friends with it. I made my italian friend watch the 'italian wedding cake' episode and oh my god, I thought he was going to have an aneurysm. BUWAHAHAHAHA!
