Person doesn't enjoy satire, actually. The point of it is clear, but it's part of that whole "humor is subjective" thing.

I don't enjoy satire for the same reason I don't enjoy the breaking of the fourth wall in fandom: it's too meta for me. I want my entertainment to be entertaining, my news to be news, and in-depth analysis that I'm not interested in to be left to the sidelines. So, I generally avoid satire, unless it's very soft.

Thank you. I was going to make a similar comment, but ran into page-loading problems and then thought better of it. But yes, not liking this particularly brand of satire is nowhere near the same as "not understanding" it.

I just find it absolutely worthless. And I don't see what's so hard to understand. I'm not asking other people to find it worthless with me, I'm just asking if they are out there.

again, finding it worthless is not the same as hating it. you seem to have pronounced negative feelings that it is actively bad, and that's what I don't understand

also, it's really fun seeing yet another thread where an anon does that thing where they make a statement in a provocative, angry tone, and then act persecuted and insulted and self-righteous when people disagree with you / question you / react to your provocative tone / assume you're angry. which, w/e, I hope you have fun with that.
