I'll be honest: since menarche I really, really hated vaginas, because I have endometriosis, which made itself apparent through excruciating pain almost immediately, when I was 13. It's been quite a while since then, but it wasn't until I was in my late teens/early twenties that I started reading yuri and het, and it helped me get over my extreme aversion to my own hoohah. I'm still not overly fond of it, but it's better than it was in the past. So I can completely understand.
