Uh. I should say I'm not some crazy, picket-waving vegan or anything. I just can't eat red meat, or very much of it, anymore. So finding alternate protein sources was...interesting...and tofu has always been my go-to.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-28 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)Have you thought about making your own tofu? There are tutorials and recipes you can use, and it's rather cheap. At least this way you're sure of what you're eating.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-28 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)That looks hellishly detailed and time-consuming, and I likely wouldn't be able to get the natural gypsum, so I'd be stuck with the drywall powder...which I'm not a fan of.
Soybeans I *can* source, however, so I might use the first part of this video to make soymilk though.
