Okay, I can sort of get that in general. It didn't work that way for me: Ten was technically my first Doctor in that his was the first episode I saw, but I went almost immediately back to Classic Who and fell in love with a couple of the older doctors. My favourite Nu!Who Doctor is Nine, Ten and Eleven just got ... increasingly OTT and angsty for my tastes.

Mind you, I think the move from Five to Six must have gotten similiar reactions, back in the day. I wonder what old school Who fandom would have been like if they'd had internet at the time.
