Re: How do you deal with anxiety or panic?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-29 02:33 am (UTC)(link)But yeah, I pretty much ignore everything and distract myself with anything-- tv series, books, fanfiction, video games, internet browsing, drawing, writing, etc.
It sucks so bad. I hate that I'm the type of person who just can't tackle things head on. I hate that I have such a strong compulsion to hide from, ignore, and avoid my problems.
I'm currently doing just that with school. I'm sure people probably think I'm just playing games, but I'm really not. I just can't get myself to face my problems. Last week I spent an hour staring at the door, willing myself to leave, and then panicking whenever I made a move to do so. I ended up not being able to leave my house after all and missed a week of school.
If I don't die from a fucking anxiety attack, then my own shame and humiliation will eventually do me in, I'm sure.
