1. ME TOO OMG ILU AHHHH <3333333333 MY LOVE FOR GOOFY BURNS LIKE THE FIRE OF A THOUSAND GOOFY SUNS

16. EVANGELION! One of my all-time favorite anime. I remember watching it fansubbed on a VHS tape, even. I was really giddy when I heard about the movies. I can't wait to see them.

But, you're not the only one who loves Shinji. :) I've always emphasized with a lot of what he was going through, so I found it hard to dislike him.

On that note, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who liked the TV series ending as well as "The End of Evangelion" movie. I thought the movie was pretty damn glorious. I only bring it up because I heard that these new movies are supposed to have a new ending as well. I wonder what they're gonna do with it...

Oh man, I watched it when it was released on VHS by ADV--not quite as up to date as you were, but still quite there?

The movies are such enormous love--watch them when you get the chance to.

I keep thinking that I'm the only one who loves Shinji the way I do.^_^; There are people who say that they "don't dislike him" or "empathize with him," but I have yet to hear a: "SHINJI IS CUTE/HOT" without the words "WITH KAWORU" tagging along (nothing against Kaworu/Shinji, but can we have Shinji without sides sometimes?)

You're not the only person who liked both endings. I liked them, too--one seemed like the "happy" end for me, and the other the "sad but happy" end. In fact, the art books do have an "after the movie ended" picture in there, and I love the ending more because of that. The TV series' ending made me think (the second time around): "Oh, he's happy...it's just so sad that it came that late...but he's happy."

Yes, the new movies will have a new ending that supposedly Gainax/Color says: "Will not piss people off." There are going to be more kids and EVAs showing up, too.

Without spoilers, I'll just say this--the movie is awesome, and as an EVA fan for the past 12 years, I loved it.

Sorry about the tl;dr. Passionate about EVA--I ran out and bought all the manga today, including "Shinji Instrumentality Project."

Haha, it's no problem. XD I never get to talk to anyone about EVA since none of my friends seem to like it or even want to give it a chance.

I do love Shinji... But I don't have the hots for him. If there is anyone I have the hots for in Evangelion it's... Rei. >3

It's nice to hear someone liked the endings. What made them even better was the fact they pissed people off... But I think that's just because I'm a little sadistic.

I actually worry that they say, "The new ending will not piss people off!" because sometimes that translate to, "We're going to cater to the fanbase, even if we have to sacrifice having a meaningful ending." :(

By the way, did you actually get to see the movie in the cinemas? I'd love to be able to do that but I'd definitely just settle for fansubs. XD

I hardly get to talk about EVA to people cuz I tend to look too deeply into it and go on tangents. It tires them out.^^;; I'm a bit of a Miss Know-It-All when it comes to EVA.

I don't think I have the hots for Shinji, persay. It's more like "oh, he's very hot now," but not in a "oh god hump" way.

Why in the world should the movie piss people off anyway. They wanted explosions, they wanted explanations of how in the world everyone died--they got their answer! And everyone is still dead! (Which makes me have mixed feelings about the new movie endings. Cuz will that mean people will survive and it turns into a romantic junior high school hijinks love comedy?! O_O ...probably not. But fans will be pissed off either way, I think)

Yes! I live in lovely Japan and managed to see the movie twice now!^_^

No, what makes them better than you is hopefully they can spell "than" properly.

Seriously, did they change the law on this one? I've seen it used in articles on the BBC and everything. It's driving me crazy.

Hate to tell you, but Goofy is my boyfriend!

lol!

Not really, but about 8 years ago when my family and I went to Disney World, Goofy was flirting with me (which is funny to watch since they characters don't talk) But I asked him if he was trying to be my bf and he would indicate yes. When I said I had a bf, he acted like he didn't care. All kinds of funny stuff happened with Goofy. So since then it's been the joke that he's my bf. =)

7. XD!!! Much love for Father Ted, that bit was hilarious!

21. Eh, I think it's stupid how people can be like "Oh, I like manga!" "Well, I like American comics!" There's enough love in my heart for comics from every region, if they're good.

7. It totally was. Poor priests. And... awkward... I hope they work it out. Hence my want for fanfiction.

See, I was always a little bit of GSR person.

I was rooting for them the FIRST time their attraction came to the surface, but then it seemed to die. When it sort of resurrected itself at the end of season six and I was like 'what the fuck, I though we got over this!' and was very confused.

And now I almost hate watching them because as adorable as they are I have this constant horrible feeling that it's going to end, and really really badly. >_<

I'm mildly intrigued by 'The Love' as well, but every time I read slash about live-action shows it seems to be really bad slash so I'm scared to try to find anything about it.

I used to make up elaborate fantasies about befriending and marrying him when I was a kid. To this day I still prefer tall and goofy guys. :)

care to explain the difference?

[identity profile] blackbubbletea.livejournal.com 2007-09-17 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
1. Goofy reminds me of my dad. So while I do not find him attractive, I do love the hell outta him. <3

26. Hoshit, I watched Project A-ko as a child, and only just thought about it again today. Win for coincidental secrets!

I DEMAND YOUR NAME AT THIS TIME SO WE CAN LAUGH TOGETHER AND FIND JOY FROM THE IGNORANCE OF OTHERS. EPIC LULZ, CAPSLOCK, BRITISH TEA, AND ALL THAT OTHER SHIT.

21. Pfft ):. Judging people who like anime,eh? Because it's not possible to find the brilliance in American comics, Japanese comics, Korean comics, Francobelgian comics?

Well,it's your choice, but I think it's a bit sad. There are seriously a LOT of different types of Japanese comics/animes directed towards a lot of different people. Your loss.

[identity profile] doinkies.livejournal.com 2007-09-17 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
IAWTC! Though I personally don't care for most American comics, I don't look down on those who do like them, and I know several people who enjoy both manga and American comics.

16. Shinji, yay!

Always know that you have my personal army known as [livejournal.com profile] 3rd_child_fans backing you up! (And we're psychos who destroy anyone who harms one of our own. For serious.)

Sockpuppet LJ. Seriously. Get a new one just for fandom. This will make you a happy person.

25. Agreed (so far). I thought that it would absolutely phenomenal, but so far it's just "okay". The only really minblowing aspect is the animation and style, but those are merely visual aspects. I'm waiting for this series to blow me off my feet. Perhaps I need to watch more...

ME TOO. My god. I lol at the gayseball jokes because they're funny, but I love the characters dearly.

Seriously, it just activates my inner mother whenever I see Mihashi cry. Y'know that guy from his previous Baseball team who dragged him out back and talked shit? I WANTED TO KICK HIS ASS SO BAD I WAS SCREAMING AT THE SCREEN. I love the main character that much. I don't want him to ever grow up. ;A;

Which reminds me I only got up to episode 5. I really have to stop reading Eyeshield 21 every waking minute of my computer time.

24, Yulia actually IS bi, or at least curious, so there's probably some attraction there. Sadly, Lena's straight. Oh well. They're still cute as hell.
