21. I've tried American comics, and I just can't stay interested because the plot splits off into twenty different story arcs that all contradict each other. Excuse me for preferring a medium that wasn't written by a staff with severe ADD.

Mmm...depends on where you hang out. Of course, Kamina's getting a lot of attention right now because Gurren Lagann is much more recent, to truly judge we'll have to wait a few years. And Gai D. died really early on, before anyone really got to see what he could do. (which is at least part of why every single SRW with Nadescio either lets him come back, either mandatory or as a secret) But in general mecha circles Kamina is much more talked about than Gai, and even when wiser fans shout down all the adulation they're a lot more likely to bring up Ryoma Nagare (Getter Robo), Noriko Takaya (Gunbuster), Domon Kasshu (G Gundam) and Guy Shishioh (GaoGaiGar) before Gai Daigoji....

Then again, all those people are main characters. And Gai probably made more people stop watching the show altogether than Kamina ever did. Reminds me though, I need to watch more Nadescio.

16: I agree completely with this, except for the fact that I've not seen the new movie yet despite the fact I've been spazzing about it since I found out months ago about it. I'm so looking forward to it though and terrified at the same time. When I watched Eva for the first time I was his age and really identified with him. I rewatched it recently and understood so much more and it actually broke my heart on some many different levels... I was scared I was going to hate him now I'm older and (hopefully) wiser. I still identify and still love him as a character. I'm secretly scared again to see the new movie... I don't want to lose my love for him as a character.

tl;dr - I agree, haven't seen the new movie though and I'm scared it might change my view on him.

21: Talent is all over and I personally can appreciate certain things in most creative things I see even if it's not my thing. The stuff I was into a few years ago I may not be into anymore but I still love them on some level and I can't bring myself to look down on anyone for what they enjoy. So please don't take this the wrong way when I say I'm glad you're ashamed of yourself, it means you're not an complete asshole even if your own interests have changed.

25: I actually snapped today and started to download the damn thing. I'm worried now after seeing this secret. I want it to be awesome like everyone on my flist says it is. I'm still going to give it a shot though and keep hoping until I'm proven wrong. I'm sorry it didn't do it for you though ♥

16. That's how I feel too! Every time I watched Eva, I wanted to take Shinji home with me and hug him and bake him cookies and stuff! :P I just related to him so well. Every time some one complains that Shinji is too weepy, I ask them how they would react if their absentee father forced them to rick themselves to save the world.

And have you found a sub of the movie? I'm having so much trouble with that...

I was very skeptical of him until I actually met him at a convention this year, thinking he would be TOTALLY arrogant and nowhere near as nice as the RR and everybody else seemed to think he was.

Vic is sweet, and funny, and whatever anybody says about him disliking yaoi or whatever (I love it omg) I think he's wonderful to his fans and, generally, is just a nice guy who likes voice acting and pleasing the people who like his work.

The only problem I have with him is the way he handled Ed. And also how vocal he is about his.. beliefs. Sorry, but that just isn't my thing!

24. They're such bitches. Good God, I remember that God-awful signing of theirs. The place was horrible and they were so bad to their fans! Even the radio station regreted setting it up. And I used to be a fan too, but afterwards, they just killed it for me and my friends.

21 - American comics look really cool to me, but between how far back (and hard to find) a lot of the issues are, and the tendency they have to do a million AUs of themselves, I have no idea where I'd even start.
Especially because I'm one of those perfectionists who feels like she has to become familiar with the entirety of canon to actually be "worthy" of the fandom.

Seriously! People don't seem to understand that he is being very realistic here. A lot of heroes in anime and manga nowadays aren't realistic in the sense that they always say: "I will save the world! I will save all these people!" Which is all great and good, but the majority of children who are suddenly shoved into a situation where their uncaring father says: "Crawl into that machine there and go out to fight a five-hundred foot tall monster. Oh, and you might die." will probably scream and run.

His flaws make him human.
