I was just thinking that "Mowgli's Road" by Marina and the Diamonds really reminds me of Tony Stark. It took a while because, y'know, the singer is a woman, but now I can't get it out of my head.

Anything like that ever happen to you? How about if you, like, saw a fanvid of it -- has a song-fandom association ever stuck with you?

There are a LOT of songs that I listen to that remind me of characters because of fanvids.

Rolling in the Deep for Charles and Erik (obviously).

Set Fire to the Rain for Loki and Thor.

Let It Rock for Loki.

Cat's in the Cradle for Sherlock and House.

Everybody Loves Me for Castiel.

Is there a Rolling in the Deep fanvid for Charles/Erik? O_O I need that one.

The songs 'I Want to Break Free' by Queen and 'When Can I See You Again' by Owl City remind me of the Dean/Gabriel ship from Supernatural. The latter because I'm writing an AU where the song is appropriate; the former because ... I have no idea, really. I just think Gabriel would like that song.

Johnny Cash's "Redemption" reminds me of Sam Winchester from Supernatural.

While Neil Diamond's "Solitary Man" always reminded me of Dean Winchester.

And Sonny J's "Hands Free" can fit with any Tarantino movie character but especially with The Bride and Django.

Van Canto's 'The Last Night of the Kings' reminds me of A Song of Ice and Fire, although not of any specific character.

So now when I watch the Borgias and Micheletto is on screen, I think of Katy Perry. I'd like to think that if Sean Harris ever discovered the internet and saw that video, he would laugh himself sick.

I can't accept that Semisonic's song Chemistry is not about The Big Bang Theory.

I've made a secret about this before , but I feel that the My Little Pony fansong Awoken really -and creepily- reminded me of North Italy's suffering in the gameHetaOni

Helicopters by the Barenaked Ladies always reminds me of Tony Stark. Like, almost every line is perfect, except for the fact that the song's narrator is obviously a journalist.

Read My Mind by the Killers has always reminded me of the Doctor.

I can't dissociate Once in a Lifetime by the Talking Heads from Walter White for some unfathomable reason.

Welcome to the Black Parade always reminded me of Buffy Summers.

someone on tumblr mentioned that Run Boy, Run by Woodkid reminded them of Bran in GoT and now I can't unsee it. Or unhear it.

Not a single character, but "What the Water Gave Me" by Florence + the Machine always reminded me of the Doctor/River Song. And I don't even ship them!

I can't hear "Love me dead" without thinking of homestuck. Specifically Terezi/Vriska (yes I thought this before the stabbing)

There's a fanvid for him to that song that's rather good if you haven't seen it yet. I agree that it's fitting, although I tag it to several characters myself.

Not a specific character, but Simon Curtis's 'Superhero' just strikes me as the perfect song for Madoka Magica as a whole, partially because of the video I saw for it.

Viva La Vida has always reminded me of the Ninth and Tenth Doctors. The other Doctors not so much, for obvious situational reasons.

OK this is all JPop associations, so

Pera Pera Perao by Not Yet is basically the theme song for Ruby/Archie (Once Upon a Time). The song's about a customer being in love with a waitress at the cafe he always goes to, but he's too shy to say anything. So basically this ship.

Hai to Diamond by Momoiro Clover Z is kind of my current theme song for Tony/Pepper as I get pumped up for Iron Man 3. The title translates to "Ashes and Diamonds" and I really like the idea that they're finding something beautiful through difficulty. (The song Kasou Dystopia reminds me of Pepper, just because they repeat the word "rescue" a few times)

Pareo wa Emerald by SKE48 is also the Jeff/Annie anthem I've decided. It's about falling for someone you always thought of as being closer to a sibling or a friend, but suddenly falling for them.

Into Dust by mazzy star reminds me of the TARDIS.

I really don't recall how I made that connection in the first place anymore.

Call me (by Shinedown) for Charles and Erik from X-Men: First Class. There's a (brilliant) video but I actually discovered it after realizing how perfect the song was for their relationship. It was such a pleasant surprise.

"Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye always reminds me of Olivia and Elliot in season 13 of SVU. I saw some thing on tumblr and now I can't hear that song without thinking about them.

"Littlething" by Jimmy Eat World reminds me of Olivia and Alex. I didn't see it in a fanvid or anything, the lyrics just jumped out at me as being very A/O for some reason.

Behind Blue Eyes by The Who will always be the song for Gregory House. (Yes, I know the aspect ratio in fanvid isn't the best but fuck it, the scene selection and editing is pretty good.)

Bruno Mars: Grenade – Hawaii Five-O/Commander Steve McGarrett – Not my idea either, it has been mentioned several times, and now the character and the song are just inseparable in my head.
