My secret? Harry/Hermione fans are for the most part totally batshit crazy and I don't really care when someone insults them. Delusional? They brought that on themselves. I'm not even a Good Shipper but every time I see gloating like that I laugh inwardly because I imagine the people who threatened mass suicide on Rowling's lawn and have a theologian for their favorite romance between fictional characters getting irritated. The only reason the OBHWF fans are so full of snark is because they've dealt with years of pure ridiculousness from the other side.

Oh sure there are sane Harry/Hermione fans out there, just as there are OBHWF fans that never gloat about their pairing being canon. But for the most part, the Harry/Hermione fans deserve it for high levels of complete craziness and general disrespect towards any fan that doesn't see the "supreme love."

And if you use the word "Harmony" for your ship I automatically lose respect for you.

So...because a small handful of vocal fans have been loud, obnoxious, and wanky, all other fans deserve to be treated like shit just for liking the same pairing?

...

Dude. FAIL.

Epic. Monster. Fail.

You think the diehard Harmonians only entail a small amount of fans? I wish.

If the diehard Harmonians--- even just a small amount, can act like that, then I think it only fair that an equally small amount of OBHWF fans have the right to retort without the Harry/Hermione fans screaming victim.

I ship Harry/Ron and don't care either way about Hermione's pairing. I have to admit...I'd rather read a bunch of gloating posts on Ron/Hermione being canon than one post of Harmonian denial, crazy theories, ludicrous claims of Rowling misleading them, entitlement, Weasley bashing, superiority complexes, hissyfits, and Rowling bashing.

I agreed with you!

In 2005.

Well they're still doing the same damn thing. The only difference is that now they can't insist that Harry/Hermione will still happen so they just hop on their high horse and talk about how Rowling missed out on writing what could have been one of the greatest love stories ever told.

Oh wait. They can. Harry and Hermione are sharing a furtive glance in the epilogue which is evidence of their affair. If it can be called an affair... since technically she didn't blatantly say that the OBHWF couples are married.

One thing the Harry/Hermione fans have proven is that the books really were all about romance to them, and that's just depressing.

People poke fun at them because it's fun to do.
