There have been a few like that, tbh. ill_omened has a habit of stirring up anti-American wank and saying a bunch of stuff that isn't accurate (you have socialised healthcare because you want to be like us!) and then everyone dogpiles him and he stops responding to the threads where he's been proved wrong about stuff. There was one about a month ago and another sometime in early January, IIRC.

Watching Alliance players pull shit, attempt to run away, and die just makes me giddy. Especially when I'm over-leveled for the area and could totally help them out, I just don't, because lol Alliance.

Meh. Not any different from every other major pairing that isn't actually canon.

I don't know if I'm getting sick of it exactly, but I certainly have a lower tolerance for characterization misunderstandings or OOCness in Star Trek '09 fic. You have over 30 years of canon to fill in gaps your characterization, I will hit the back button if Spock says Vulcans don't feel emotions. (I see this a lot.) I tolerate mischaracterizarion in other fandoms (to a point), but I get weird about Star Trek.

I always want to write/direct a story that focuses on myths and legends, especially local spirits around here such as Pontianak (female vampiress from death of pregnant woman at childbirth) or Toyol (Unborn fetuses twisted into life by a black magician). Focusing on this is how they interact with humans, particularly with their close living relatives. Will they react with hostility? Can the creatures (particularly the Pontianak) even recognize their living kin? And what will the living do once they found out that about their dead or unborn ones?

I want this story to be animated/CG-ala-Pixar-Dreamworks (world's first CG horror film) and I'll present the whole thing from the POV of a child. Thinking about it, it's probably going to be more depressing and heartbreaking and sad instead of horrifying, but just want to see if the idea can even be pushed forward to.

The first (dx) you are talking about, which equation and which side of the equation are you talking about?

If you're talking about the (dx) I multiplied in, the *(dx), I multipled (dx) to the left side and the right side of the equation. It wasn't a random addition.

Look, I get it, unemployment does weird things to your brain. Believe me, I totally get that.

Yeah, but...why not? It's fun to come up with random fanon that could theoretically work in canon, even though everyone knows the creators didn't come up with it. No one actually thinks the writers put that much thought into it.

Plus, it's not like anyone on the casting department really thought that his accent was French either. So they must've thought "bah, who cares?" And they were right, because not one fan with a smidgen of a sense of humor gives a flying fuck.

It's a little like Sam/Gabriel. It's really popular, there is like zero evidence for it, and people start throwing it in in the background because they feel it's expected.
