I'm sorry, I don't even watch this show and don't really care, but they look like they coordinated their outfits and that's adorable.

They do that a lot, no joke! In one episode, it was particularly noticeable since they were both wearing the (IMO ugly, which is why I noticed it) combination of dark grey and cobalt blue.

Given how often Sherlock picks out her clothes because she's sleeping and he's really eager to go investigate a thing, this is entirely plausible.

This is my new headcanon: on those days when he tries to get her out of bed early, Sherlock always picks an outfit for her that will look good with his.

I usually never get dressed in 'proper clothes' since I rarely leave the house, but if I'm going out, I look to see what my husband's wearing and pick something that is complimentary in terms of colour. so the idea of roomates doing that is actually even cuter to me and I don't even know why

Yeah, they share an apartment. It's pretty common for an early exposition scene to be set with Sherlock barging into Joan's room, putting a set of clothes on her bed, and telling her all about the known facts of the episode's crime while Joan goes "aldknakdng SHERLOCK I DON'T WANT TO GET UP YET" and he bounces on his heels like a puppy who really wants to go on a walk.

It's pretty adorable.
