I think there's ads and there's ads. The ones that just sit at the top, bottom or side of the page doing nothing are no problem at all - I think it's reasonable to leave them be and help the site out financially.

And then there are the other ones. Colors that make my eyes bleed, blinking, blaring loud music/text/rude noises and following you all the way down the page. They make me wish I were using something to block them.

In other words: if some sites didn't have such obnoxious ads, I think ads should be tolerated for the service a sie provides. Since so many sites have ads that aim at giving the viewer a headache, I don't think those sites have a right to complain about ad blocking.
