Re: Blip&AdBlock

I once went on a binge of Nostalgia Critic videos when Adblock hadn't been updated and whatever video service he was using could get past it.

Every single video had this same minute and a half unskippable ad. The same one. With the same awful jingle, obnoxious voiceover about how fucking great these fucking chips were, and the same stupid slurping/chewing sounds because MMMM these fucking chips.

On the videos where it cuts out in the middle to have an ad? Same ad. Every. Single. Time.

By the fourth video, I just stopped and did something else until the ads were blocked again.

I don't mind turning off adblock for banners or the like if it helps a site. But when your ads are repetitive, obnoxious, and unavoidable? Not only will it give me a psychological need to AVOID your stupid product, but fuck you, I PREFER ninety seconds of silence over that bullshit.

God, yes. This is my biggest problem with blip ads. I go through playlists of tgwtg as I do homework but it always uses the same ad, which drives me up the wall after the fifth time.
