Yeeeep. I loathe most genderswap pics for precisely this reason.

Even better! When they're randomly put in stripper clothing and aged down a decade or several! Because, ew, ladies over 30 are gross, amirite?

Oh god, this. Most bizarre version was Alder from Pokemon, who canonically has a GRANDSON. But rule 63 him, and suddenly he looks like this...

(Particularly annoying in that the other E4 members actually all look pretty decent. Fem!Marshal's top is weird, but otherwise okay. Alder, though, has been de-aged AND whitewashed...)

It's not like Pokemon is completely devoid of awesome older ladies, either! There's the Socialite trainer class, and, you know, Agatha and Bertha...

My fandom? Primarily composed of 30-something dudes and a few 50-something and 20-something dudes.

Genderswap them and the 20-something dudes are teenaged girls, the 30-something dudes 19-20-year-old co-eds, and the 50-something dudes are all like 25.

I mean, like, past 25 women are completely disgusting so I totally see their point -_-

...That's kind of depressing, honestly.

It's not like the fangirls don't have their own brand of shallowness - they pretty much forget the 50-somethings exist when it comes to slash, and when they do write about them it's always a "flashback" to their younger days - but it's not like the dudes even do that. It's not like "gender-swapped so and so as a 19-year-old fresh recruit" it's just straight up "gender-swapped so and so, as they are right now, only 19 for some reason instead of 35".

Bleeeecccccchhhhh.

Oh well, thanks for the link to that Rule 63 site. That one is awesome!

Ugh :( What's the fandom, out of curiosity?

You're welcome! There's some really neat stuff there. I really like that the rule 63 dwarves from the Hobbits still have facial hair, since, honestly, they DO...

CoD. Of course, part of this is the Japanese side's obsession with moeshit, I'm sure.

I like that too :3

Call of Duty? Or do I have my acronyms wrong?

Yeah, it's something you don't often see in fiction outside of 'lol sideshow freaks'!

Yep, Call of Duty. No female characters in it, really, so when fanboys want to wank, I suppose, they do teenaged female versions of the cast.

Makes sense, but it blows my mind when fangirls do it. Female soldiers wear the same damn shit male soldiers do, but genderswap suddenly = MINISKIRTS AND HEELS ON THE BATTLEFIELD.

In a way, though, it seems wrong, because those faces are still very feminine, and if I recall correctly, Tolkien said something about outsiders having difficulty telling male and female dwarves apart? Those are very, very obviously female, slight beards or no...

Sounds about right :| And that sounds about as practical as some of the rule 63 of Link. Yup, flimsy, revealing tunics and heels are endlessly practical for hitting monsters with swords!

Ah, true... there is a kind of thing where they lack some of the features that dwarf men have, though. There's resistance to making women look 'ugly'.
