[ FS Anon Meme ]
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with recaptchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
(Today's post is below.)

(Anonymous) 2013-05-25 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)I think they were trying to steal some of the WoK nostalgia, and the thing is, it actually worked for them. They just take the most well-known things from WoK (in this case, a certain death behind a certain wall and the damn KHAN! shriek) and bam, their movie was practically made for them. I'm so annoyed that the movie is being received so well because of this, in fact.
I wouldn't hold out on them creating a new villain, considering they don't even seem to be Star Trek fans. Why they didn't use, say, Gary Mitchell is a mystery though.

Re: I usually love F!S but sometimes...nope.
(Anonymous) 2013-05-25 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)Kirk died, not Spock, while doing the exact same thing. The Khan shriek then came from Spock (because why the hell not, apparently.) Oh, and Kirk's death was temporary, because Khan's blood is apparently ~magic~ and can revive the dead.
It was enormously stupid.
