Agreed. I don't understand why it's considered such a bad thing to judge someone by their spouse. If you have actively decided that a giant asshole is someone you want to consider as your other half and the person you're closest to in life.... that says something about you. Who's company you keep does say something about you.

Just being friends with someone like Amanda Palmer would make me side-eye a person pretty hard. She's clearly been a complete scumbag many, many times, and anyone who is willing to ignore that is unlikely to be a good or admirable person.

His books are merely mediocre and no great loss.

I thought this was common sense. This discussion thread proves otherwise, I guess!

I enjoyed Coraline, but it was nothing all that spectacular. He's practically worshipped as a God on the 'net, so I figured he must be some kind of genius!
