I actually like this idea, and not because I want to erase women out of the screenwriting world. In an idealized world, whether someone was male or female wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference, but the fact is that it does right now. People judge women much more harshly, especially in entertainment industries; there's no way for their work to stand by itself unless their identity as a woman was completely taken out of the picture. :/

The problem is that, by making it so women *can't* present their work with their own identity you're effectively setting things up so that women will never be taken seriously because the ~lol women can't...~ isn't challenged.

Well, what do we do, hmm? Cause if we fight it, we get nothing but "feminazis" and other insults thrown our way and if we don't, we're still where we are now. It's a rock and hard place situation at the moment.

In many ways, I agree with the OP, but I also don't like it. But it's almost the ideal right now, which sucks major balls...
