I just saw this and I mostly agree. I thought Jaden was fine (although Zoe Kravitz would have been a more compelling lead), but the biggest problem was the awkward "future accents". It doesn't deserve the trash ratings it's getting.

That's an interesting point about Zoe Kravitz. Do you mean retooling the movie so her character would be the lead? I did find myself thinking while watching this movie that it'd be more enjoyable if the MC was genderswapped. Father/son angst is just so played out.

Yeah. She seemed to be more dynamic on screen so if the roles were switched with her and Jaden's characters, I think it might have been better.
