It's all good, OP. I didn't see them until I was twelve (when Phantom Menace came out - my father took me to see it, I loved the hell out of it, he said I should definitely watch the earlier films), and when I finally did see them, I loved them so much that Return of the Jedi is still my all-time favourite film IN EXISTENCE.

But I do get where you're coming from. I started playing Pokemon really late - like, age twenty-three - because I had decided at age eleven that I was too old to play them. It's kind of sad seeing people my age talk about their awesome Pokemon nostalgia and debating the merits of Charizard versus Venusaur, and I'm sitting there going, "Yeah, my first starter was Chikorita. No, no, not in Gold. In HeartGold."
