3. You'd probably kill me if I said that that was a really sweet secret, because it's obviously not fun for you. I do get like that, especially when trying to meet new people, sometimes it takes months for me to be at ease and be myself around them. I think I've gotten a bit better and more comfortable with myself as time goes on. Your girlfriend seems nice, I'm sure she can wait til you're comfortable to open up a little.

10. =( I miss Angel.

17. Probably will get a lot of backlash for this, but honestly, I find that Ginny's character to be so all over the place, she practically doesn't have a personality for me. One book, she's the stereotypical awkward little sister, next, she's quiet and shy, next, she's a random member of the gang, next, she gets all loud and brazen and suddenly, she's the main love interest type. I suppose it's harder to see how she developed because she's in a younger year and doesn't get much "screentime", but still, she's far too much of a randomer for me to be able to like OR hate her. Again, I will never understand why she was the main love itnerest. RxHr is fine by me though!

18. XD Right on! He rocks so much!

23. That series is so amazing. I recently rewatched them and was amazed at how brilliant they were. I always loved them, but you can really appreciate them more when you get older.

[identity profile] zeto.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
17) R/Hr was the best! LOL, those two were so awesome together. <3 Before TDH came out, my friends and I had a betting pool going on. On who would die in the end. And I said, if Ron or Hermione had to die, they better die together because I didn't want them without each other. T_T

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
XD I'm not really a R/Hr shipper, but I'd agree that it'd be quite odd if they didn't end up together, considering the amount of hints there were! Yeah, it'd be quite sad if one of them died and the other had to grieve for them =P

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
17. FINALLY, SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS MY PROBLEM WITH GINNY WEASLEY. I hate her simply because it was hard to place any other emotion with her. She'd show up and I'd think, "Great, what now?" I liked her up until the she started getting all loud and in-your-face. I was kind of like, "Where did this come from? If your last name wasn't Weasley I'd constantly be forgetting who you were." It breaks my heart that I feel this way, though, because I love ALL THE OTHER WEASLEYS so much, and Ginny's like the black sheep.

As for the Ron/Herm, though, I was never much for the idea of inter-trio relationships. :/ I kinda wanted Fred to express an interest in Hermione. Or Percy, until he became an asshole...

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty much! She really was forgetable until the sixth book, where she suddenly became brazen and sassy and then suddenly Harry had a crush on her. I mean, you had a much, much better idea of what the Weasley twins (icon wuv, by the by) and what Percy was like than what she was like. I don't mind a background character, but to go from that to suddenly being the main love interest? Just kinda came from nowhere for me.

Eh, I just think RonxHermione were so canon, it's kinda hard to think otherwise, particularly after seeing that Horcrux tear into Ron about it in the 7th =P there were times where I felt the Harry x Hermione vibe, but ultimately, they seemed kinda right. You know, FredxHermione would be very interesting, even just for the whole twin aspect, how George reacted and also how Ron would. PercyxHermione sounds like an anal recipe for disaster XD they'd probably conquer the world with their organised-ness!

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
GAH! That's it EXACTLY! It's like Colin Creevy suddenly dating Hermione or something. You just kinda want to go "wait...what?"

OH MY GOD, THE HOCRUX PART KILLED ME. That just broke my heart. I love Ron too much. But yeah, I get what you mean. Thier kiss the seventh book was adorable, to me (even though I don't ship it) and it didn't so much mind the pairing after that. I always thought Fred/Hermione would be interesting because they're such opposites, and it seemed like Fred would be able to get her to chill every once in a while. XD; As for what George would do, I just always figured he may be slightly jealous. (Of which one? Up to you, I guess. XD) It wasn't so much that I thought Percy/Hermione was going to happen, but it seemed there were a handful of hints that maybe she had a crush on him. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is that her alias when they were caught by Death Eaters was the name of Percy's girlfriend. I have others (besides their startling similarities in the first three books), but it's been a long day. XD;

they'd probably conquer the world with their organised-ness!

That's an interesting image. XD

(icon wuv, by the by)
ALL my Harry Potter icons have to do with the twins. XD; I'm slightly obsessed. Fred and George are my very favourite characters (first and second, respectively)
ext_590805: (Woop-de-shit - Harry Potter)

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
XD I know, in the 7th book, when Ron left and the other two were alone I kind of thought "You know, they'd be kind of sweet together...". Then when the Horcrux bit happened, I felt terrible for thinking that XD But yes, that canon couple was one that I neither squeed over or was annoyed about, so it's all good in the hood for me!

Add Ron to the FredxHermione situation and it'd be very interesting! But yes, I never really thought about FredxHermione and it'd be interesting to see the effect they'd have on eachother. Would Fred straighten up a bit I wonder, much to George's dismay? Hmmm...

Ahhh, I really have to read the 7th again, didn't notice/remember the Percy's girlfriend reference. My sister's reading the series, so I have to go slow with my reread or else I'll be left waiting for her. I always thought Hermione had a bit of respect for him, but the second he blamed Winky for what happened in the 4th book, I think it was dashed. I wonder if she still had any lingering for him after... something else to look out for!

I love the twins too, they're actually my favourite Weasleys. They're probably high up on my list of favourites. So many characters...

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
When I was younger I was a total Harry/Hermione shipper...I don't know what happened, but suddenly I was like, "BORING." XD;; I don't know. Now I look back on it, and I see where that idea came from. (Seeing as how Hermione was probably the first person to hug Harry in ten years...) but I don't know. I've never been much for the 'predictable' couples. I'll loose intrest in something once it starts to become cannon or obvious. :/

Would Fred straighten up a bit I wonder, much to George's dismay? Hmmm...

ACK! I don't know why, but after all these years I never even THOUGHT of that! I HOPE NOT! XDD

Oh, remember when they have to think up names off the top of their heads, she calls herself Penelope Clearwater, whom you remember in the second book as the petrified Ravenclaw prefect whom Percy dated throughout school. KWHAHA. I NOTICE RANDOM THINGS. XD Yeah, that crush was pretty...crushed in the fourth book, so my idea of it faded until she went by Penelope and I thought, "Ah, maybe we still have a little thing for Percy the Pinhead Prefect?"

Yeah, I always fall for the comic relief, and to be perfectly honest, the twins and Ron were kind of it when it came to humor, and while I love Ron, Fred and George were just more fun, I suppose. I still cry about Fred's death. Too much for me...I like to pretend it never happened.

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know what you mean, I'm not necessarily interest in RxHr, but it was the most apparent pairing in the book and there were too many signs to point otherwise. Pity, because I'd say Hermione would have a few interesting pairings with others.

Hee hee XD poor ol' Percy, him and his house elf bashing ruined his chances! Ruined, I say! Ahh, I can't wait til I can read the seventh book again...

Yes I found it very hard to accept Fred's death, he just... didn't seem like someone who'd die, if you know what I mean. I mean, Sirius always had that "devil may care" attitude and got into danger, so you could see how he could be killed and Dumbledore had that "Wise old man whose death would be his aid" thing too, but Fred? He was a joker, just wanted to amuse people, just wanted to have fun, dying in a war situation seemed like such a sad situation for him. Adding the twin thing... yeah. I remember reading a fic of George walking into the joke shop after he died... it was so sad.

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 10:31 am (UTC)(link)
I have this whole personal view of how cannon was with Percy, Ron and Hermione, see she met Percy, fell head over heels, then he blamed Winky, and it broke her heart, and finally she goes and falls for another Weasley when he thinks of House Elves and kinda looks a bit like Percy, anyway. XDD

GOD, I know. When I heard the rumor, I was like, "Oh, bull plop. He's a joke shop owner. What would Death Eaters want with a joke shop owner? And why wouldn't they kill George, too? I mean, they're NEVER more than five feet apart..." ...why WAS George mysteriously missing? That bit haunts almost all the fanfics I write.

Reading/writing fanfics about it make me sob, but I don't stop. I dunno why, but it makes me feel better, in a weird, masochistic way...

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 04:32 pm (UTC)(link)
XDD It's true! Ahh, the tragedy of Hermione and PErcy...

Yeah... Jesus, where was he? Well, it was a battle type situation, so obviously they could've been stationed at seperate places, but yeah, it's quite strange that that was one of the few times they were seen without eachother.

Auugh, just makes it sadder! I've only read one or two fics, but it almost helps me accept that they died XD It's so easy to go to an older book and say "hey look! They all happy and alive there!"

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a couple of personal cannon ideas for that, too, but they break my heart. :/ George's, too.

Really? Only two? God, I've written like ten post-DH fics, and read more than ten times as many. My obsession is disturbing. oO;

My favourite thing to do is flip through my original paperback copy of the first book, the one I got for Christmas the year it came out, and look at all the stuff I had dogeared, marked and highlighted. 90% of the lines I had highlighted are Fred and George lines, and some of the time I would go back after reading the latest book and write a little note, like after reading the fifth one I wrote "Aw, I miss them already." Over a couple lines, and in retrospect, that just makes me want to cry all over again.
ext_590805: (Focus dammit - Harry Potter)

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
XD Well, one fic is an uber long one, and college stresses and other life stuff means I haven't gotten round to finishing it. But yes, HP fic is great, I want to find some Marauders stuff to fill in the gaps of what happened in that generation.

Ahh, yes, I love rereading over stuff before and great moments with your favourite characters. Especially after the last book, you just a great appreciation for them after that!

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if you're not for slash then it might not all work, but [livejournal.com profile] shoebox_project is the only Marauder fic I read. (I didn't support the pairing before I read it either, but WOW is it good writing. XD) I'm afraid to read anything else after that, in fear that it might spoil it. (even something that JKR might release!)

Yeah, like parts with Neville in the beginning, you're like, "Hey! Show him some respect! He killed Nagini! You all owe him your asses!" XD
ext_590805: (Focus dammit - Harry Potter)

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, slash is alright by me, I'm not madly into it, but I support a few slash pairings. So that sounds really good, gonna add that now and give it a read later, thanks! The Marauders generation are great really, so I always like to read stuff on them.

XD I know, I'm reading bits with Neville and people looking down on him, and I'm like "oh, he WILL be badass one day. You'll see. You'll all see!!" Even how Harry's progressed is great too, so much trauma unloaded to one lad, eh?

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Well that's a better attitude than the one I had! XD When I was first given a link to SBP I was like, "WTF, are you kidding me? This thing is enormous! TL;DR, PLZKTNX. I don't even like Remus/Sirius, so bleh." I'm SO GLAD my friend made me read it, because it's basically cannon for me now. XDD

Yeah, I know! And just seeing how the writing in general has pogressed, to age with its readers. I mean, Look at the last chapter in the first book. It's like, what, twenty pages? And all in that chapter we have Harry finding out that it's Querrell he needs to fight, getting the stone, the fight with Voldemort, getting out of the hospital wing, winning the house cup and going home. ALL IN ONE CHAPTER. That would've taken about six or seven chapters in the later books. XD
ext_590805: (Focus dammit - Harry Potter)

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-30 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
XD Yes, my friend had me read a SnapexHarry fic, and, while I still find the couple to be really odd, it's a great fic, really well written and I need to get back into it...

Yeah! I'm rereading the fifth book and it takes about 150+ pages for them to actually get to school! Of course there's the trial and the Order business and whatnot, but it's so funny how detailed it's gotten. It's also funny to see Hermione in the first book, she seems so much dorkier back then =P

(Psst. Do you mind if I friend you? It's always fun to babble about fun shtuffs and you seem like a great babbler XD)

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-30 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy crap, yeah that couple's weird, but I've read a few addictive stories on it, too. Funny how that happens, huh? XD

God, I know. I remember first reading the fourth one, and I was like, "Jesus, it takes them eleven chapters before they get to school? What could possibly go on for ELEVEN CHAPTERS?" Which is hilarious, because it takes about twenty-nine chapters for them to get to Hogwarts in the seventh one, and I didn't even notice. XD I've noticed how Hermione kinda vamp'd out, too. Well, not VAMP'D OUT, but you know. At least she sorted out her priorities. XDD

Yay, okay! :D I am indeed a great babbler, and you seem like a wonderful one, yourself. XD Add'd.
ext_590805: (Focus dammit - Harry Potter)

[identity profile] vontriz.livejournal.com 2007-09-30 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, the one I'm reading now is great, it was written after the fourth book and almost acts as an alternative as to what happens. It's really great, I need to reread it, and the characters are really well done too.

XD Yes, I was like "Jesus, does this mean the 7th book won't be in Hogwarts? I dunno about that..." after the 6th, but it turned out to be way better than I thought! Kinda wish I got to see the malarky happening there!

Excellent, added back =D

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-09-30 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I love when it works like stories are like that...that's how Shoebox is. There are little subtle things that are cannon, like Remus's obsession with chocolate, and how when Sirius looks in the crystal ball in Trelawney's class, all he sees are foggy curtains blowing. (D:)

I was nervous, too. I was like, "Well, great, we've got the Golden Trio, but what about Neville? What about Dean and Seamus and McGoogles?! *fret fret fret*" But it all worked out. And we even got Percy back! I know a lot of Fred lovers blame him, but I don't. I love Percy. >.>; (Although I make George blame him a lot in my stories...)

Yay! ^^
