I always thought she was too perfect without a real weakness. Also she seems so... nice. Like super nice without real anger. Even her fights with her brother are more acting than real anger or something similar.

Ahhh right. It seems like some authors are too afraid that giving their characters genuinly flawed moments and moments where they're not nice for fear that they'll be unlikeable.

I used to be that way myself so that's why I suspect it...but then I took an honest look at myself and thought"well by that defintion I would certainly be unlikeable. Because I say mean things....do dumb shit and just mess up plenty". And that sorta made me loosen up with my characters. Now....well now I try to give each of my protagonists at least one "what the hell , hero" moments. XD. Dunno if that's a good thing or not....

she got terrible grades at school (except for sports)

Hnnn......that's a start but honestly if I were critiquing it as a story....I would probably suggest more. (I usually put in at least 9) .


But eh that's what works for me. I just think 3 is a little light. Also naivite is a tough thing to pass as a flaw because well...it has to actually cause trouble. If it doesn't do anything bad for her...it just sounds a lot like "too nice" or "too innocent".

That said my memories of CCS are pretty good and I remember liking it so...*shrug*. Different tastes.
