Re: Ugly
(Anonymous) 2013-07-09 12:01 am (UTC)(link)Anyway, he was obviously really shy/nervous, and I could sort of make out that he was asking me to go have coffee with him, or something like that. I kind of just ignored it, because yeah, it confused the hell out of me. I got on the bus, he walked away, etcetc. Later I randomly came across this thing on a message board: FFB. It's when shy guys purposely hit on unattractive/fat women to build up their confidence (because fat women are 'easy'). They sleep with them until they've built up enough confidence, sex wise, for a 'real girlfriend'.
I still am convinced that's what he was doing. I never get hit on. Ever. Pretty much convinced me to keep out of dating and whatnot. :P

(Anonymous) 2013-07-09 12:18 am (UTC)(link)I know you've likely heard this before, but it's pretty likely that you have actually been hit on and just never noticed. I used to feel bad about myself too, and was convinced that I never got hit on. I worked out my self-esteem problems in the end, and, in retrospect, it seems really obvious that there were people who did hit on me. I just genuinely never noticed.
I'm not kidding, I didn't even have a clue. I even went on actual dates that I didn't realise until years later were dates.
