Those people are assholes and don't deserve you, much less anyone else. I hope you don't give up because of them either; you shouldn't give them the satisfaction of their words meaning that much to you. (Don't get me wrong, I know that's easier said than done; still, think about it and give it time.)

Not everyone is the same, anon. There's probably someone out there for you but you haven't found them yet.
